1.0 – My First Rig

2009 – 2019

My first rig was a single beam metal frame that could hold my Logitech G25 wheel and a racing seat from playseat.com. My father constructed a wooden console, housing a DIY handbrake. Underneath the seat we installed a bass shaker that would transfer the low motor frequencies into the rig. Quite fancy at the time. The buttons and switches are housed by a repurposed Center Console of a Volkswagon Golf II. Red buttons are wired to the joystick that is operated by the handbrake – the famous Competition Pro.

The six speed transmission utilizes a Volkswagon Golf III GTI Shifter and can be switched to sequential shifting. We used the rig primarily for Richard Burns Rally (2004) and got thousands of hours of good fun out of it.

Before that I used the Logitech Momo Racing and before that the Tomy Racing Turbo. 😉
